The Chamber of Commerce has offices in most counties and towns in Northwest Florida. As they do across the country, these membership-based organizations offer business information and local travel information.
The Chambers also provide business networking and group marketing opportunities for their members to promote their businesses and services. You can contact any of these offices for more information about local businesses in these areas.

Each county has a tourism division such as a TDC (Tourist Development Council) or a CVB (Convention and Visitors' Bureau) that provides travel information such as things to do and where to stay in the area. The Chambers often have this information as well.
Their memberships usually include local hotels and resorts as well as restaurants, attractions and other visitor needs, so you can find lists of places to stay, where to eat, where to shop and so on.
You might want to stop into Monticello in October. Haunted walking tours of the town are available on the weekends and start just outside the Chamber office.
There's no end to the kind of information you can find and the offices are staffed with knowledgeable locals, so go ahead and ask questions.
