When the weather turns warm, Destin summer concerts heat up Thursday nights with live music by the area's hottest performers. Each year, from May to July you can grove to soul, R&B, smooth jazz, Motown, classic and modern rock, and flash-back dance music in a relaxed family atmosphere.
Presented by the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, Concerts in the Village features some of the best of local talent. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. enjoy the sunset, sights and sounds of artists like Dave Seering, Deja Vu, the Mulligans, and Mr. Big & The Rhythm Sisters.
Voted one of the top ten things to do in Northwest Florida by Florida Travel & Tourism Guide, Concerts in the Village is a popular community event and is held at the Dugas Pavilion and Village Green at the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village in the heart of Destin. Food and beverages, including beer and wine, are available for purchase at each concert, or you can bring your own picnic and beverage of choice and enjoy it under the stars.
Seating spaces are first come first served, so bring your lawn chair or spread a blanket on the ground. VIP tables are available for rent to Platinum Level Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation members.
The series starts the first Thursday in May each year and runs for nine weeks. You can purchase tickets at the door and they are $10 for adults. Children under 12 and MKAF members are free.
